A klink & Dink ....what is it ?
The Klink & Dink method explanation :
A latch & Dink is a fly equipped with a tippet ring in the hook bend for attaching your tippet for fishing with an extra nymph or wet fly.
This method is the best way to search the water when there are no obvious signs of fish activity. Essentially, it is a perfect method for fishing a dry fly as well as a nymph/wet fly at the same time .
The tippet ring on the fly allows you to fish it using the latch & dink method (normally a bit of a sticking point when using barbless hooks!). You can use the same rod, line and leader as when fishing a dry fly.
Leader Set Up :
Tie the Klink Hammer to your leader as you would any normal dry fly set upTie a piece of tippet to the tippet ring and there to your nymph or wetfly
Generally use 1.5 times the depth you want to fish at.Cast upstream and fish it just as you would with a dry fly.
Keep an eye on the Riveter for signs of an attack on the nymph or on the riveter itself.
Have fun and good luck !
