Mop flies are proving to be particularly effective in reservoirs, managed fishing waters and in the wild. So at Semperfli, we looked at the existing mop fly, with the goal of further improving it and making it even more effective. The result is Mopster™ Chenille. To do this, the diameter of different mops was first measured so that a consistent size could be developed. An entirely new chenille was then created, featuring multi colored guard hair tinsels that protrude from the material.

At Mopster, these tinsels provide additional movement and attraction underwater. At the same time, they give the mop fly a distinctive look. By using Semperfli's standard color palette, Mopster is available in colors previously unavailable to flybinders when using household mops to make flies. From fluorescent colors to adams and tan, Mopster represents the future of the mop fly.

The material was tested by flybinders and fly fishermen who admitted to using mop flies. In the process, many fish were caught. Therefore, give Mopster Mop Chenille a try. It might just become a well kept secret.
