Ultra 30D 18/0 is widely regarded as the favourite tying thread of professional fly tiers worldwide. This GSP thread (gel spun polyethylene) belongs to the absolute top of the market and stands out for its exceptional tensile strength, very fine diameter and extensive colour range. This makes the thread suitable for both micro flies and larger patterns. The 30D / 18/0 variant has been specifically developed for tying smaller flies. Within this denier class, Nano Silk offers the widest choice of colours, allowing you to match your patterns perfectly to the conditions and your personal preferences.

Extremely strong – significantly stronger than comparable tying threads; breakage during tying is virtually eliminated.
Very fine diameter – 30D (18/0) is designed for hook sizes approximately from #16 up to #32.

Splittable – despite its fine diameter, Nano Silk Ultra 30D 18/0 can easily be split, which makes applying dubbing much easier.
