Nano Silk 50D 12/0, the tying thread for demanding fly tyers

Nano Silk 50D 12/0 is considered the worldwide reference among professional fly tyers. This GSP tying thread combines extremely high tensile strength with an ultra-fine diameter, making it perfectly suitable for everything from micro nymphs to larger dry flies and streamers.

Because Nano Silk lies completely flat on the hook shank, you avoid unwanted head or body build-up. Even after dozens of wraps, the profile of your fly remains slim and tidy. Ideal for patterns where you want this to be as invisible as possible.

Main features:

• Ultra-fine 50 denier / 12/0 – ideal for hook sizes ± 6 to 16 (and even down to size 32 for delicate patterns)
• Extremely strong – up to 10× stronger than steel of the same diameter
• Breaking strength approx. 1,900 g / 4.2 lb – no more worries about snapping thread when tightening materials
• Flat lying – no unwanted build-up, even after many wraps
• Splitable – easy to split for dubbing and fine finishing
• Highly versatile – suitable for dry flies, nymphs, emergers and streamers
