The FLC #8 Pike Fly Line Intermediate 3i is designed specifically for fishing large streamers on pike and other predatory fish. This line is built to effortlessly put away the largest and heaviest patterns.
The core has extremely little stretch, so every movement is transmitted instantly. This results in not only a powerful transfer of energy during the cast, but also a very direct bite registration during strikes at distance or in deeper water layers. The short belly and slightly heavier profile compared to standard #8 lines allow for even better loading of modern, powerful pike rods, resulting in explosive and controlled casts with minimal false casts.
The intermediate sink rate of 3 ips makes this line ideal for offering streamers just below the surface or in the middle layer. This allows you to fish in at the right speed in a controlled manner without the line sinking too fast or running too high.
The red line with camo head offers a good balance between visibility for the angler and camouflage in the water. The two welded loops allow for quick and reliable mounting of both leader and backing.
