Tie flies of all shapes and sizes with this amazing Faux Bucktail

A tapered synthetic multipurpose fiber designed to imitate the typical premium length of natural bucktail.

Faux Bucktail fibers have the same base diameter, soft crinkle and taper as natural bucktail. In terms of appearance, it looks almost identical and has the same distinctive action of bucktail in the water.

However, the fibers are not hollow (making your fly sink faster) and will not fan out in the same way as regular bucktail during tying. This means you have to knot with slightly different techniques to achieve the same effect.

Each Faux Bucktail fiber has a length of 15.2 cm, which gives you more than twice as many usable fibers per tail

Simply peel off the desired amount of fibers along the entire length, cut to the appropriate length and tie. The fibers can be used in a wide range of flies, including trout flies, streamers, poppers and bucktail jigs and, of course, Pike streamers
