Seatrout Series Float Sink Tip
With fly fishing for Danish sea trout in mind, a separate series has been developed. These leaders are longer and have a different construction than standard leaders. Thanks to the adapted construction, these leaders still turn over very nicely.
These leaders are also fitted with a tippet ring that has been specially adapted for this purpose. A tippet of 0.22 to 0.28 mm can be attached to it without any problem.
The idea behind these versions
The Floating version has been developed for use in combination with a floating line or hover line. To make the leader float, it should be greased with standard line grease. When the leader is not greased, it will slowly sink. As a result, the leader fishes slightly deeper and is also suitable for use with a hover line.
The Sinking version sinks completely and is used when fishing deeper is required. This leader is made of fluorocarbon and will therefore sink fairly quickly.
Anyone who wants to fish precisely at intermediate depth, for example with a floating line or hover line, can choose the Floating Sink Tip version. The first part, the butt section, is made of nylon. When this part is greased, it will remain floating. Without grease, a hover effect is created.
The final 90 cm is made as a sinking section in fluorocarbon and will therefore sink downwards. This makes it possible to fish the intermediate depths that are otherwise more difficult to reach.
